I’m not sure about you guys, but when I was 12 years old, I wasn’t winning any major awards. If there had been an award for “Consecutive Friday Nights Spent Watching Titanic,” I would have been a champion, but that’s another story.
Before even turning 13, vegan activist Rose McCoy has already started an animal rights club in her school, encouraged her teacher to go vegan, and spoken out in behalf of chickens at one of McDonald’s annual meetings. And just this weekend, Rose was given the prestigious Nanci Alexander Activist Award at a star-studded event in Florida.
The Nanci Alexander Activist Award has been presented to some of PETA’s greatest supporters, such as punk rocker Joan Jett, and the event this weekend did not disappoint, with appearances from some of my favorite animal-loving celebs, including Ami James and Daniella Monet!
